So, if you are looking for luxury hotels for your Zermatt skiing break, here are our top 3 boutique hotels…
1. Hotel Cervo
Hotel Cervo is one of our favourite boutique hotels here in Zermatt. Situated on a terrace above the village, this hotel has amazing views of the Matterhorn mountain and surrounding peaks. The centre of Zermatt is only a 10 minute walk away and the ski lift is just 2 minutes away in an elevator.
The hotel consists of 5 large chalets which have between 5 and 11 rooms within them, ranging from a Cosy Deluxe room to the Panoramic Suites which include a dining room and kitchenette. The chalets can be taken separately as rooms or booked as a whole, if there are a number of you in the group. Each room has amazing views, a private terrace, Wi-Fi and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries.
Luxury is never far away in Hotel Cervo with private spa areas in each chalet equipped with sauna, outdoor whirlpool, bucket showers, Kneipp basins, massage room and relaxation area.
In terms of dining, this luxury hotel offers two great choices – the Cervo Puro restaurant boasting alpine cosiness and 14 Gault-Millau points and Ferdinand, a more casual dining experience which is an architectural treat in its own right. We won’t give any more away!

2. Backstage Hotel
The boutique Backstage Hotel will certainly impress. Boasting their unique and quirky “Cube Loft Rooms” which come complete with bunk beds for children if needed, along with their Deluxe and Standard rooms kitted out with handmade furniture, the Backstage Hotel is going to create lasting memories.
Centrally located just minutes from Zermatt’s bustling high street with its fantastic array of bars, restaurants and shops and only 800m from the nearest ski lift, the Backstage Hotel is a good choice if you want to be right in the middle of all the action.
If you are looking to unwind after all the hustle and bustle or a day on the slopes, you cannot miss the Backstage Hotel’s unique wellness centre. Inspired by the story of creation, the centre is split into seven sensory cubes, including a dark steam room with pulsing light, a sauna projecting images from the Hubble telescope and a relaxation room with waterbed. It is an experience not to be missed!
In terms of dining, After Seven is an award-winning restaurant which boasts 2 Michelin stars and serves fine food across 4 to 7 courses via a “surprise menu” designed by celebrated chef Ivo Adams. Again, not to be missed!
