Villa Medicea di Lilliano is a family-run wine estate set in the tranquil hills of Chianti Colli Fiorentini, just a 15-minute drive from central Florence. Although it’s perfectly located for exploring the city, the estate has a tranquil atmosphere where the traditional terraces, sunny courtyards and swimming pools are surrounded by 70 hectares of vineyards and olive groves. When you’re not exploring Florence, there’s also some wonderful experiences to be had within the estate itself. You can join a historical tour of the villa, hosted by the current Malenchini owners or enjoy the wine and olive oil tasting sessions, to learn more about how the estate’s renowned Chianti wines and award-winning Malenchini olive oil are created.
The villa is split into two residences:
La Corte: A restored farmhouse that epitomises Tuscan villa life, retaining many of its original features. Sitting next to the main villa but in its own secluded garden, the villa has a large open-plan kitchen, dining room, living area, pool and scenic patio area. Sleeping 12 people, it can be rented privately or be divided into five bed-and-breakfast rooms with private bathrooms and panoramic views.
La Torre: Five self-catering villas, all named after important figures in the history of the villa. Villa Clementina is one of the largest, sleeping up to six people; Villa Ferdinando sleeps four people; Vila Vincenzo up to six people; and Villa Dilette sleeps two people. Each apartment is fully equipped with all modern amenities, light and spacious living areas, large bedrooms and everything you could need for a classically Tuscan experience.
The estate has a tranquil swimming pool overlooking the olive groves and a range of wellness experiences are offered in the privacy of your villa, including massages, facials and holistic treatments.
