What You Can Expect

This former Medici hunting estate is the summer residence of the Duke of Tuscany, where Tuscan rustic charm meets luxurious décor. There are incredible views of the surrounding olive groves and vineyards throughout and access to a private beach where luxury yacht excursions can be organised. Home to two restaurants, it’s the perfect place for a long lazy lunch but also offers plenty of opportunity to get outside and get active thanks to the golf driving range, tennis courts and on-site mountain bikes.

There are 20 bedrooms and 13 suites spread over two wings of the main building, which are connected by a winter-garden lounge:

Superior Room: 35 sq metres with spacious bathroom and views of the surrounding vineyards or olive groves.
Deluxe Room: 30 sq metres with spacious bathroom and views of the surrounding countryside.
Deluxe with Mezzanine: 45 sq metres with spacious bathroom and a mezzanine floor, ideal for use as a sitting room or child’s bedroom.
Junior Suite: 50 to 60 sq metres with a spacious living area centered around a stone fireplace and a fantastic view of the Tuscan hills and olive groves.
Superior Suite: 65 to 70 sq metres with a spacious living area, stone fireplace and views of the Tuscan countryside.
Prestige Suite: 80 sq metres with a spacious living area and stone fireplace. The bedroom overlooks the olive groves and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Food & Wine
The hotel is home to two restaurants: La Trattoria (open from the end of May to September) and the more casual La Villa. La Trattoria is housed in the former granary and is helmed by Tuscan chef Enrico Bartolini, who provides modern Mediterranean dishes that celebrate local produce. Mondays are not to be missed at the Trattoria when Bartolini takes to the barbecue in the gardens. La Villa is a more casual restaurant where guests can enjoy breakfasts of freshly baked pastries, light lunches and relaxed evening meals.
Location
1 Hour 45 minutes from Pisa airport.
2 Hours 30 minutes Rome Fimumicino.
Just inland from Castiglion della Pescaia, a Tuscan fishing port turned seaside resort.
