What You Can Expect

The beautiful Villa San Michele sits on a picturesque hillside overlooking Florence and the rolling Tuscan countryside. A former monastery, this hotel is seeped in history where much of the original Renaissance splendour remains, including a façade attributed to Michelangelo and beautifully manicured gardens originally planted by Franciscan monks. Sitting on the outskirts of Florence, it is the perfect place to explore the city whilst still enjoying the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside. Villa San Michele has 46 rooms including 25 suites:

Double Superior Rooms: Located in the original part of the building, these rooms overlook the courtyard or countryside. Each has a large marble bathroom and separate shower.

Suites: The indulgent suites of the Belmond boast incredible views over the city. Each suite features a separate living room and has unique décor.

Limonaia Suite & Villa: With breathtaking views and stunning interior, a heated plunge pool and its very own waterfall in the leafy private garden, staying in this historic apartment is an unforgettable experience. On request the apartment can be converted into a glamorous villa. Reservations upon request with a choice of one, two or three bedrooms.

The Belmond has a tranquil swimming pool hidden on a grassy plateau amid manicured gardens and overlooking the Arno Valley and Florence. Guests can enjoy a range of massages in the open-air gazebo, from classic Swedish to Shiatsu. The panoramic view offers state-of-the-art equipment to a backdrop of stunning views of Florence. Personal training, yoga and pilates can also be arranged upon request.
