The Riffelalp Resort is situated at 2,222 metres above the resort of Zermatt and is reached by the Gornergrat mountain railway, which provides a stunning journey up the mountain. A ski-in-ski-out location in the heart of the stunning Riffelalp ski area, Riffelalp Resort is a mountain haven, home to a gastronomic restaurant, relaxing sun terrace and Europe’s highest outdoor heated pool with uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn. Perfect for families, there is a supervised playroom (during the winter) open from 3 to 10:30pm where a kindergarten teacher runs a programme of activities to entertain children aged two to eight allowing parents to enjoy après-ski drinks and dinner. Monte Rosa Suite: 74-square-metre master king-sized bedroom, area with bunk beds, bathroom with bathtub, separate shower, living room, balcony and views of the surrounding mountains and the Matterhorn.
Matterhorn Suite: 104-square-metre suit of two bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and living room with balcony and views of the surrounding mountains and the Matterhorn.
The Spa 2’222m is one of the highest altitude spas in Europe and home to an indoor pool with whirlpool, Europe’s highest outdoor pool with water jets and views of the Matterhorn, as well as a steam bath, Finnish sauna, organic sauna, Schönbiel cave with steam bath and a grotto housing a saline bath and waterfall carved right into the mountain rock. The spa also offers a small fitness centre, relaxation areas and a selection of massage treatments.
